Nice topic and piece Michelle. I remember when the kids were still in grade school there was a lot of socializing at home among the parents, dinner parties in each others' homes typically with four couples. With the kids all grown up that has gone out the window, and having people over and getting invited to others'' homes seems to be rarer and rarer. I don't know how it happened but it's very sad, as restaurants are now so expensive that it's not really an alternative. O tempora o mores.
